  1. Firstly, check whether your car supports a direct integration. Check on the Octopus website. If your car supports a direct integration, you do NOT need to complete any further configuration detailed on this page. 
  2. Download the "EVChargo" app. This is used to configure your Cord EV to connect to Octopus.

Once I'm on Octopus, can I use the Cord app to schedule charging sessions?
No. The Cord app cannot be used to schedule charging sessions when your charger is connected to Intelligent Octopus Go. After integration, all smart charging schedules are controlled through the Octopus Energy app.

When your Cord charger is connected to Intelligent Octopus Go: Plug your electric vehicle into the charger. In the Octopus app, set the time you want your car ready. Octopus automatically schedules charging when electricity is cheapest. This helps ensure your EV charges at the lowest available energy cost while supporting greener electricity usage.

On Octopus, can I still charge my EV immediately if I need to?
Yes. You can manually start charging your vehicle at any time by clicking on Bump charge button inside Octopus App. However, charging outside the scheduled smart charging times may mean you pay the standard electricity rate instead of the Intelligent Octopus Go off-peak rate.

Can I still integrate the Cord charger with Allstar or Rightcharge if I'm on Octopus Intelligent Go or OVO Charge Anytime?
Unfortunately if you connect to Octopus Intelligent Go or OVO Charge Anytime it is not possible to integrate your Cord charger with Allstar or Rightcharge. This is because the Cord charger is controlled by Octopus/OVO once you've integrated.  We recommend speaking to your employer for advice.

Can I manage the cable lock for my untethered Cord charger in the Octopus app?
No. Currently, the Octopus Energy app does not support cable lock management for integrated EV chargers, including Cord chargers. Cable lock controls are not available through the Octopus app at this time. However, we are working on enabling cable lock management either through the Octopus Energy app or the Cord app in the future.

Can I use more than one car on Octopus Intelligent Go?
Yes, you can charge more than one car but you must integrate via the charger and not use the Octopus-car direct integration.
