It's nearly time to install your Cord EV charger! Here's what you can expect on the day.
- Our trusted installer will usually be with you from 8.30am - 09.00am for morning appointments, or at around 1.00pm for afternoon appointments.
- You should expect the installation to take around 3 hours if you’re having a routine installation, during which time we’ll need to turn your power off for approximately 45 minutes.
- If you’ve previously been informed that you need a bespoke installation, then your install will take longer.
- Before beginning installation, we will confirm the cable route with you to ensure your charging cable reaches your car easily, without creating unnecessary obstruction.
- Once the charge point is installed, we’ll get you signed into the Monta app so that you can manage your charging activity remotely and check everything is working.
- Don’t worry if your new electric vehicle hasn’t arrived yet, as all of our installers have testing equipment that confirms everything is working before we leave.
- If applicable, we'll obtain verification and signatures for your OZEV grant application.
In preparation for your installation please:
- Download the Monta app onto your phone in advance.
- Ensure that a responsible adult will be in on the day to allow access to the property, verify the desired location of the charge point and any cabling. and to confirm the installation has been completed as expected.
Once your charger has been installed:
- Open up the Monta app to set your charging preferences.
- Activate your complimentary RFID key-fob.
