Connect your Cord charger to OVO Charge Anytime. Read our step-by-step guide.
- Firstly, your charger will need to be set up for the Cord App.
- If you've recently had a Cord charger installed you'll already have this.
- If you are on the legacy Monta app, you'll need to switch to the Cord App by following these instructions.
1. Connecting to OVO Charge Anytime from the Cord app
- Navigate to Account > Tariff details > Set my tariff/Change tariff > Integrated > Ovo Energy > OVO Charge Anytime (Beta).
- You’ll see a screen explaining some next steps. Once you connect to OVO, you’ll manage all charging sessions and insights in the OVO app. If you have authorisation switched on, you’ll need to authorise in the Cord app each time you plug in.
- Log in to your OVO App and follow the instructions there to complete the connection.
- Once connected, you will lose access to charging modes and insights in the Cord app. You can view all charging schedules and insights in the OVO app. Please note that this is a requirement from OVO and we have no control over this.
2. Charger protection and cable lock features
- If you have a Charger protection enabled, you can still use this feature in the Cord app. Remember to come back to the Cord EV app to authorise each session after plugging in. You can also disable this from the Charging mode screen.
- If you have an untethered charger and use the cable lock feature, you can still manage this within the charging modes screen in the Cord app.
3. Unlinking your OVO Charge Anytime account
- To unlink OVO Charge Anytime from your charger, navigate to Account > Tariff details > Unlink
