7kW cables are ideal for charging your car at home, as almost every home charger can deliver a maximum of 7kW of charging power. These are also known as "single phase".
7kW cables are lighter and easier to wrap & store than their 22kW counterparts.
We recommend purchasing a cable that's slightly longer than you need - this avoids the risk and hassle of returning the cable.
22kW cables - for charging at work or publicly
Ideal for workplace or charging away from home
22kW cables are designed for charging away from home at a workplace or a hotel. These are faster and make use of "three phase" electrical supply typically available publicly.
Whilst 22kW cables are heavier they charge up to 3x faster than a 7kW cable.
22kW cables will still work at home - they'll just be capped to delivering 7kW of charging speed.
We recommend checking the charging speed your vehicle can accept - look for the "on board charger speed". For some vehicles this may be capped at 11kW - so despite buying a 22kW cable you'll be limited to 11kW.
We also recommend purchasing a cable that's slightly longer than you need - this avoids the risk and hassle of returning the cable.

Coiled cables expand and contract as required, making them much easier to handle and store. They also don't rest on the ground so are much cleaner, especially on rainy days.
