Ideal for home charging 7kW cables are ideal for charging your car at home, as almost every home charger can deliver a maximum of 7kW of charging power. These are also known as "single phase". 7kW cables are lighter and easier to wrap & store than their 22kW counterparts. We recommend purchasing a cable that's slightly longer than you need - this avoids the risk and hassle of returning the cable.

Ideal for workplace or charging away from home 22kW cables are designed for charging away from home at a workplace or a hotel. These are faster and make use of "three phase" electrical supply typically available publicly. Whilst 22kW cables are heavier they charge up to 3x faster than a 7kW cable. 22kW cables will still work at home - they'll just be capped to delivering 7kW of charging speed. We recommend checking the charging speed your vehicle can accept - look for the "on board charger speed". For some vehicles this may be capped at 11kW - so despite buying a 22kW cable you'll be limited to 11kW. We also recommend purchasing a cable that's slightly longer than you need - this avoids the risk and hassle of returning the cable.
